Richard was a big man

We are afraid to forget

It hurts to remember

How did we meet

A friend of a friend

Brought his voice to us

It was a enormous voice

One to fall in love with

And a high school body

Everyone loved Richie

We were a family

Before I ever dated him

What a magical time

We dreamed and dared

Broke away to be together

We tried not to hurt one another

With our injuries we sang

Our hearts out instead

Things changed we grew

There was a joy under the sadness 

Waiting to be discovered
